Rental Car Manager alternatives
Five Rental Car Manager alternatives to weigh are HQ Rental Software, Loopit, RENTALL, Carz and Rently. Rental Car Manager does not publish a price; HQ Rental Software and Carz do. Carz is built for operators who rent cars by the week, often to rideshare drivers, and costs AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST.
Every fact about another company on this page links to that company’s own site and says when we read it. Where a company does not publish something, we say so.
What sends buyers looking past Rental Car Manager
Rental Car Manager (RCM) has been part of Jonas Software since December 2023, and the announcement came from Brisbane. Its clients hire out cars, campervans, Uber fleets, bikes and boats, and it connects to travel agents such as Rentalcars.com and Motorhome Republic.
Its site shows no price, and the startup package ends in a contact form. Its homepage says nothing about weekly, long-term or subscription billing, which matters if most of your cars go out by the week.
If your bookings come from travel agents and a counter, neither gap may matter to you, and staying on RCM can be the right call.

1. HQ Rental Software
Fits when: You want to see a price before the first sales call. Apart from Carz, it is the only option on this page with a rate card on its own site, and it handles long-term rentals with payment schedules.
- Basic is US$120 a month for 10 vehicles, Standard US$175 for 25 and Professional US$250 for 50. (source, read 20 October 2026)

2. Loopit
Fits when: You want recurring billing from a company with Australian roots. Loopit grew out of a subscription service at an Australian used-car dealer, and its Recurring Core plan bills daily, weekly or monthly on a schedule. Part of what you pay is a share of the money you collect.
- Founded in 2020 as a car subscription platform, after its founders ran subscriptions at HelloCars, an Australian online used-car dealer. (source, read 20 October 2026)
- Lists an office at 300 Barangaroo Ave, Sydney, alongside Atlanta and London. (source, read 20 October 2026)

3. RENTALL

- Says it is trusted by 1000+ customers in 70+ countries. (source, read June 2026 (archived copy))
- Four plans with no prices shown; you get a tailor-made quote by email. (source, read June 2026 (archived copy))
- The minimum fleet is 10 vehicles. (source, read June 2026 (archived copy))
- Lists broker connections without naming the brokers. (source, read June 2026 (archived copy))
4. Carz
Fits when: Most of your cars go out by the week, often to rideshare or delivery drivers, and you want the weekly charge, arrears and bond run for you instead of chased by hand.
- AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST. Nothing for cars in the yard, billing capped at AUD $1,400 a month ex GST (200 rented cars without GPS), no setup fee, cancel any month.
- Weekly charges run every Monday on their own, and a failed payment shows up straight away.
- Stripe, Square and PayTo, with the bond held through Stripe.
- Drivers onboard from a link, upload their licence and sign digitally.
- Not a fit: Carz takes no bookings from travel agents such as Rentalcars.com. If those carry your business, RCM or HQ Rental Software fits better.
5. Rently
Fits when: Leasing and long-term contracts are a large share of the business and you want invoicing built around them. Plan on a demo to learn the price.
