How much does car rental software cost in Australia?
Carz costs AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST, and a car in the yard costs nothing. Of the 13 other vendors in this guide, 10 have a price on their own site or in a software directory. Their flat monthly plans run from $0 (Fleetman, up to 5 vehicles) to AUD $649 (Fleetola, up to 100 vehicles). Per-car rates come in different units and currencies. Weekly Car Rental charges from $0.65 per car on hire per week, ex GST. RentSyst charges €2.00 to €3.00 per vehicle a month by fleet size, and Loopit’s Capterra listing starts at $9 per vehicle a month. We read these prices on vendor sites, Capterra and GetApp on 22 and 26 October 2026.
What do 14 car rental software vendors charge?
Carz comes first because it is ours. Vendors with a price come next, then those without. Within each group, the vendors that ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews named most often in our check of 25 October 2026 come first. Each price links to where we read it: the vendor’s own site, a software directory listing or a user review, with the date. Currencies are as the source shows them; nothing is converted.

“Not published” means we found no price on the vendor’s page or in the directories we could read. A directory price is entered by the vendor or the directory; it is not a quote. If a price here is out of date, tell us and we will check the source again.
How much does car rental software cost per car in Australia?
It depends on how the vendor charges. Carz is AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST. Fleetola, HQ Rental Software and Fleetman charge a flat monthly price set by fleet size, HirePOS charges per user, and RentSyst publishes per-vehicle rates in euros.
Why do car rental software prices vary so much between vendors?
Vendors charge on different things: the cars you rent, the size of your fleet, the number of users, your billing volume, or a quote after a call. Of the 13 other vendors here, 3 show no price anywhere we could read, and 4 (Loopit, Rently, Rent Centric, Rental Car Manager) have one only in a directory listing.
Should I pay a flat monthly price or a price per car?
A flat price stays the same whether 10 or 25 of your cars are out on rent. A per-rented-car price follows your rentals month to month, so a car in the yard costs nothing. A fleet of 15 with 12 cars on rent pays Carz AUD $84 for the month (12 × $7), ex GST. In a slow month with fewer cars out, the bill drops. Carz has no setup fee. HQ Rental Software publishes a one-time onboarding fee of $550 to $1,500.
What does car rental software pricing usually include?
It varies. HQ Rental Software lists the modules in each plan and adds a one-time onboarding fee, and Fleetola charges extra for GPS tracking. Carz charges per rented car, GPS tracking is optional at AUD $3 per rented car per month, ex GST, inside the same cap, and AI Agents are optional at AUD $3 per booking renewal, ex GST.
Is there free car rental software?
Yes, for small fleets. Fleetman has a $0 plan for up to 5 vehicles (read on 26 October 2026). Carz itself is not free, but you can try it for 14 days with no credit card, then it costs AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST, and a car that is not rented that month costs nothing.
What does car rental software cost with 10, 25 or 50 cars?
At 25 cars, Carz costs A$175 a month ex GST if all 25 are rented, and A$140 if 20 are. The 5 other plans we could work out for 25 cars run from $99 (Fleetman) to A$249 (Fleetola). Another 5 publish a price that gives no exact cost for 25 cars, among them Weekly Car Rental’s rate from $0.65 per car on hire per week, ex GST, so we cannot say which plan costs least.
Carz bills the cars on rent; the others bill the cars in your fleet. The Carz example assumes 80% of the fleet is rented.

Euro and US dollar prices are converted at the Reserve Bank of Australia rate of 26 October 2026 (A$1 = €0.6265 = US$0.7031), with the original price under the converted one. A $ with no currency code is shown as the vendor shows it. A blank cell means the vendor’s price does not say what a fleet that size pays. RENTALL, Coastr and TSD publish no price, so they are not in this table. Prices were read on 22 and 26 October 2026. Payment-provider fees are on top of every figure.
How do I choose car rental software for my fleet?
Start with how many cars you rent out in a normal month, how long each rental runs, and whether the vendor publishes a price you can check. Then ask each shortlisted vendor to quote your own fleet in writing.
