How does Carz collect weekly rent?
Charges run automatically every Monday, and a failed payment shows up straight away. You set the start date, the weekly rate and the deposit when you book the driver in. The driver onboards from a link and signs digitally.
When a charge fails, each unpaid week is tracked as its own arrear and retries are spaced weekly. The renter gets a self-serve pay-link for card or PayTo. After a number of days you configure, the booking is flagged for you to chase. Carz never ends a rental by itself. The full recovery flow is written up here.
In Carz a predefined month is 28 days, and a one-day extension costs the weekly rate divided by 7. Our guide to pricing weekly rentals shows the working.
How does Carz handle the bond?
Carz holds the deposit through Stripe and records it with the booking. Deposits are tracked and reconciled, and they never flow into revenue, ROI or investor payout figures.

What about tolls and fines?
Carz charges tolls and fines to the renter’s card on file, with your admin fee as its own line and the evidence attached. The face value is booked as a pass-through, and only the fee counts as revenue.
It can only match charges you enter against the right booking, so logging tolls weekly is still a job for a person. The deadlines for naming the driver on a fine are in our guide to recovering tolls and fines.
How do drivers pay by direct debit?
Drivers pay weekly rent by card or by PayTo, the Australian direct debit. If a charge fails, the driver gets a pay-link for card or PayTo.

Does Carz track the car by GPS?
Yes, as an option. GPS tracking costs AUD $3 per rented car per month, ex GST, and counts toward the same AUD $1,400 monthly cap as Carz OS. Ask us whether it covers geofences or remote engine stop, and whether it works with trackers you already own.
Fleetola lists live GPS for Traccar-compatible trackers as an optional module, and its page does not publish the price.
What does it cost for 10 and 25 cars?
Carz charges for cars rented in the month. Fleetola charges a flat monthly price for the fleet-size band. Both figures are in AUD. Carz is shown ex GST, and Fleetola’s page does not say whether its prices include GST.

How much does car rental software cost per car in Australia?
Carz OS is AUD $7 per rented car per month, ex GST. A car sitting in the yard costs nothing, and billing is capped at AUD $1,400 a month ex GST (200 rented cars without GPS).
What does Carz cost with 10, 25 or 50 rented cars?
10 rented cars cost AUD $70, 25 rented cars cost AUD $175, 50 rented cars cost AUD $350 a month, ex GST. The count is cars rented in the month, not cars in your fleet.

Cars in the yard are not counted. AI Agents are priced separately, per booking renewal, so there is no single total with agents.
What is included in the Carz price and what costs extra?
Carz OS has no seats, no setup fee and no contract beyond the month. GPS tracking is optional at AUD $3 per rented car per month, ex GST, inside the same AUD $1,400 cap. AI Agents are optional at AUD $3 per booking renewal, ex GST, with no cap. Stripe or Square fees are charged by the provider on your own account. The full terms are on the terms page.
How does a price per rented car compare with a flat monthly fee?
A flat fee stays the same whether 10 or 25 of your cars are out on rent. A per-rented-car price follows your rentals month to month, so a car in the yard costs nothing. A fleet of 15 with 12 cars on rent pays Carz AUD $84 for the month (12 × $7), ex GST. In a slow month with fewer cars out, the bill drops. Carz has no setup fee.
