Best car rental software in Australia (2026)
14 vendors, each with how it charges, its price and where we read it, and who it suits. The order follows a rule we publish below, and Carz, which is ours, comes last.
What is the best car rental software in Australia?
It depends on how you rent and how you want to pay. Fleetman’s free plan covers up to 5 vehicles. HQ Rental Software publishes plans for 10, 25 and 50 vehicles before any sales call. Weekly Car Rental and Carz charge only for the cars out on rent. RENTALL quotes by email, and Rent Centric asks you to fill in a form before it shows a price.
How is this list ordered?
Vendors that ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews named more often in our check of 25 October 2026 come first. When two tie, the one that shows up more in Google results goes first, then A to Z. We left Carz out of that check because it is ours, so it sits last. Each entry says where we found its price: on the vendor’s own site, only in a software directory, or nowhere.
Every vendor in our car rental software price guide is here; we added none and left none out. We have not run a fleet on any of these products. Prices, plans and who each one suits come from the vendor’s own pages and from software directories, read on 22 and 26 October 2026, and each one links to where we read it.

Which car rental software publishes its price?
Of the vendors here, RentSyst, HQ Rental Software, Fleetola, Weekly Car Rental, Fleetman, HirePOS and Carz show a price on their own site. The others show one only in a directory listing, or not at all.
Which car rental software suits a small business in Australia?
Check the plan limits first, because some vendors set a minimum fleet and others a maximum. In this list, Fleetman’s free plan covers up to 5 vehicles, with no card needed to start, and Coastr’s Startup plan covers up to 10 vehicles. Carz works for one vehicle or a hundred and charges only for the cars rented in the month. RENTALL is for fleets of at least 10 vehicles, with exceptions for expected growth. Plans and limits were read on 22 and 26 October 2026; each entry above links to its source.
How do I choose car rental software for my fleet?
Start with how many cars you rent out in a normal month and how long each rental runs. Then ask each vendor on your shortlist to quote your own fleet in writing.
To see what 10, 25 or 50 cars cost with each vendor, read car rental software prices in Australia. For what Carz does, see car rental software, or compare Carz with other platforms. If a fact here is out of date, tell us and we will check the source again.
