Agents

AI agents that work your fleet.

Not chatbots — workers. Carz is built agent-ready, so software agents can run the repetitive parts of a rental operation end to end: onboarding, collections, support. You keep the judgment calls.

Straight answers

What are Carz AI agents?

They are software workers, not a chat widget: an agent runs a whole repetitive job in a rental operation — onboarding a new renter, chasing arrears, answering renter calls and WhatsApp — and hands the judgment calls back to your team.

They act through the same internal tool layer the platform itself uses, so an agent can only do what the platform already allows, and every action it takes is recorded like any other.

Are the agents available today?

Not yet. All three — onboarding & pick-up, collections, and phone/WhatsApp support — are in development and ship one at a time, each when it works on a real fleet rather than in a demo.

What is live today is the groundwork: every operational action already exists as a typed, permission-checked tool with an audit trail. Early access goes first to operators already running Carz.

Can an agent take money or cancel a rental on its own?

No. Money is the hard boundary: no agent can mark a payment as received, move a subscription or write off a debt. Payment status only ever comes from the bank or card provider, and money-level actions are blocked at the tool layer — not merely discouraged in a prompt.

The same holds inside a conversation. A renter who writes “yes, renew me” or “cancel it” to an agent changes nothing: renewals, cancellations and payments happen only through the signed links the platform already sends.

How is an agent different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers a question; an agent finishes the job. It reads your fleet's real operational data — this booking, this failed charge, this contract — takes the next step, and escalates the moment something is unusual.

It also works inside Australian contact rules: collections contact respects ACCC/ASIC hours and frequency limits, and every interaction is logged against the booking.

02 / Why it works here

Agents need a platform underneath.

An agent bolted onto spreadsheets and inboxes fails. These four foundations are why agents can safely run on Carz.

01

Structured operations

Agents can't act on a spreadsheet. Every booking, payment, vehicle and contract in Carz is structured data an agent can read and act on.

02

Internal tool layer

Agents plug into the same actions your admins use — create a charge, send a pay-link, schedule a return — never a screen-scraper.

03

Guardrails by default

Read-only until you say otherwise. Money-touching actions require explicit confirmation, and every agent action is logged.

04

Humans keep judgment

Damage disputes, hardship cases, exceptions — agents hand these to your team instead of guessing.
