Everything Carz does.

The full operating system for a car-rental fleet — grouped by the job it does. If something you need isn't here, we build it.

Straight answers

What does Carz do?

Carz is car rental software that runs a fleet end to end: it takes the booking, generates and e-signs the contract, holds the deposit, charges the renter every week by card or PayTo, chases the charge when it fails, tracks workshop costs against the car, and pays the investor who funded it.

It is built for one business in particular — weekly rental to gig-economy drivers — not for daily airport hire. That focus is why the weekly charge, the arrears recovery and the investor split are core rather than add-ons.

Can Carz charge the same renter automatically every week?

Yes. Rent is charged on a fixed weekday by card or by PayTo direct debit in Australia, pro-rated to the day, and it stops on its own when the rental ends — there is no manual invoice run.

A renewal extends the existing subscription instead of creating a new one, so a rental that runs eight months is still a single billing thread you can read top to bottom.

What happens when a weekly rent charge fails?

The rental keeps running and the unpaid week becomes an arrear: the renter gets an email with a self-serve pay link (card or PayTo), every admin is alerted, and the platform retries on a weekly cadence instead of hammering a dead card daily.

If the debt is still open past the threshold the operator sets — 30 days by default — the dashboard flags the car for recovery. Carz never terminates a rental or takes a car back by itself: it flags, a person decides.

What does Carz not do?

No telematics — no GPS tracking, no driver-behaviour scoring, no engine diagnostics. That is a different category (Geotab, Fleetio, Teletrac) and Carz does not compete in it.

There is also no dynamic pricing engine and no multi-location fleet model: each deployment is one operator's own instance. If you run daily hire from several airport counters, one of the platforms on our comparison pages will fit you better.
